Block Party: A Weekend of Food, Art, & Music at The Park

BP-POSTER-SQUARE-LATEST

Mark your calendars, southerners! The neighborhood party you’ve been pining for is finally happening in the heart of Metro South: Block Party. The fair is a fitting brew of awesome food, artisanal finds, and ingenious recreations for the modern family. Slated on March 28 and 29 from 10am to 8pm at Ayala Alabang Village’s Makiling Park, it’s the perfect festivity to kick off the official start of summer vacation.

Cozy up underneath Makiling Park’s trees and stretch your legs on our picnic blankets while sampling great food, taking in outdoor art, joining crafts workshops, and shopping for unique locally-made products. It’s the event where the kids can let loose with fun activities while the young-at-heart enjoy the easy revelry that’s all about connecting, discovering, and relishing.

We snipped out the unnecessary clutter with our curated choices for food, crafts, and lifestyle brands. Taste food must tries like Señor Pollo, El Chupacabra, Rub Ribs, 8 Cuts, Pipino Vegetarian, Breakfast & Pies, The Juice Stand, Cheezalis Street, Gostoso Piri Piri Chicken, Take Root, Pizza Morena, Boneless Bob, Chili Asylum, Juice Jab, H Cuisine, Sugar Babies Desserts Unlimited, and Caramilk Creamery.

Buy and barter art goods, works, and tools with crafters carefully selected by organizers Type Kita and PopJunkLove such as Hey Kessy, La Pomme, Bags by Rubbertree, Simoy ng Haraya, Takatak Project, Hocus Manila, ArF, Live Like It’s Friday, Ella Lama, Krafty Pirate, Pluma, Life Documented, SundayPaper, Habil, Handspaperlove, Walloh Designs, Swirls & Strokes, and many more.

Soak in the creative atmosphere and check out the art exhibits and works of June Digan, Arlene Sy, Abbey Sy, Ebony Paguia, Alexis Ventura, Lai Reyes-Geluz, Raine Sarmiento, Eman Sia, Daryl Feril, Margaret Morales, Sabrina Palmares, Jamie Catt, and Kishin Javier, just to name a few.

Shop for local, artisanal, and earth-conscious finds the modern home is looking for with brands like Lagu Beach Blankets, Shoes by Kai, Ritual, Pottly N Tubby, Baby Jane Manila, Happy Bubbler, CBeauty, Harpoon Co., Vida Lim Jewelry, Space Garden, and Verb Manila.
