Blizzard Entertainment and the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft kicked off the 2024 WoW Charity Pet program by teaming up with CureDuchenne, a global nonprofit leader in research and care for individuals with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
The Reven Pack, available now until 2:00 a.m. (UTC +8) on January 8, 2025, is inspired by the incredible story of Mats Steen, as captured in The Remarkable Life of Ibelin documentary – now live on Netflix. Mats, a Norwegian WoW player known in-game as Ibelin, suffered from DMD, a rare neuromuscular disease. In the wake of his death, his family discovered that what they thought was a life lived in total isolation was, in fact, filled with joy, laughter, friendship, and love through Mats’ adventures in WoW.
In Norwegian, “Reven” means “the fox,” and players can adopt this curious little pet to accompany them on their adventures in both modern WoW as well as in WoW Classic progression servers. Additionally, modern WoW players will also receive a back slot transmog item, Reven’s Comfy Carrier, complete with a sleepy Reven.
One hundred percent* of the purchase price will be donated to CureDuchenne to accelerate research toward a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and improve care for individuals worldwide living with the disease.
To get the Reven Pack, players can purchase it from the in-game shop or via the shop page on Battle.net.
