BLACKPINK’s Rosé is celebrating a new career milestone just ahead of her comeback solo album next month!
Rosé now holds the title of K-pop artist with the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify. She currently boasts 50.3 million monthly listeners on the popular streaming platform.
Meanwhile, her viral collaboration single with Bruno Mars, “APT,” is still going strong with over 300 million streams on the popular platform.
This achievement is a remarkable feat, especially as the BLACKPINK superstar only has three singles to her name. In addition to “APT,” her other songs, “GONE” and “On the Ground,” were both released in 2021 under her debut album R.
With these record-breaking numbers, the 27-year-old soloist has surpassed the global K-pop group BTS who achieved over 45 million monthly listeners.
In early October, she announced that her highly-anticipated solo album “rosie” would be released on December 6th. The upcoming full-length album will feature 12 tracks, inspired by personal relationships and emotions she has experienced throughout her twenties.
“I know you’ve all waited sooo so long for this moment, but I hope you’re READY for what’s in store for the next few months!! I CANNOTTT wait for you all to hear everything!! so hang on tight!! Miss you all dearly,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
