BINI Jhoanna shone on stage, proving her versatility in Tabing Ilog The Musical as Eds.

“Hindi mo malalaman na kaya mo kung hindi mo susubukan (You will never know that you can do it unless you try). I only had one day of rehearsal for this, pero grabe lang ang pag-alalay at suporta ng SJE barkada para mairaos ko ang first show na ‘to (But the support and guidance from the SJE squad were incredible in helping me pull off this first show),” she wrote.
Despite her hectic schedule and the massive success of their “GRAND BINIverse” concerts last November, the BINI lead vocalist shared how her co-stars guided and supported her through her journey.

“I literally had no rest after the concert, pero hindi ko alam, kapag nasa Tabing Ilog ako, may ibang energy akong nafeefeel. Ibang klase ng ‘pahinga’ kaya pipiliin kong bumalik nang bumalik dito (But whenever I’m rehearsing for Tabing Ilog, I feel a different kind of energy. It’s a unique kind of ‘rest,’ which is why I keep choosing to come back here over and over again),” she continued.
With the outpour of love and support she receives, she expressed her gratitude to her fellow Tabing Ilog team and her fans for watching and organizing a food truck during her performance.
“To the entire Tabing Ilog team, thank you so much for trusting me to make my first show a success,” she concluded her post.
The BINI leader continues to prove herself as an all-rounder. Aside from her P-pop idol duties, the 20-year-old also has a knack for radio broadcasting. She was previously featured as a guest reporter on the evening news show “TV Patrol.”
Tabing Ilog The Musical is based on the TV series of the same name that aired in 1999. The popular youth-oriented series revolved around the lives of six friends, played by John Lloyd Cruz, Kaye Abad, Jodi Sta. Maria, Patrick Garcia, Paulo Contis, and Desiree del Valle.
In the musical’s rerun, Jhoanna, Vivoree Esclito, and Sheena Belarmino reprised the role of “Eds,” originally played by Kaye Abad. Meanwhile, the rerun also featured BGYO’s Akira Morishita, Benedix Ramos, Anji Salvacion, Miah Canton, Kobie Brown, Jordan Andrews, Vino Mabalot, Kiara Takahashi, Andi Abaya, and Jude Hinumdum.
The Tabing Ilog The Musical had its successful run from November 8 until December 1.
