It’s been a week of rumors and speculation concerning Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson. A cryptic Instagram story from Bea was posted at the same time photos of Gerald and Julia Barretto became a hot topic. This led many to believe that Bea’s post stating “You can’t make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice. ENOUGH,” was directed towards her long-time boyfriend.

At the presentation of the cast of Star Creatives’ newest series, ABS-CBN was able to get her side of the story. She first shared how she was choosing to deal with the controversy professionally, saying “Pinalaki ako ng ABS-CBN na professional [I was trained by ABS-CBN to be a professional], and we always have to show up regardless of what’s happening in my life.”

When asked if she was “okay” the actress replied with “I’m moving forward.” According to her, it is through the help and support of her her friends that she is getting through everything: “Malaking bagay na nandiyan ‘yung mga kaibigan ko… Maraming nagki-care para sa akin. Actually nagugulat nga ako na marami ang nagpapadala ng bulaklak, marami ang nagti-text. Malaking bagay ‘yon para sa akin.” [It matters a lot to me that my friends are there for me… There are a lot who care for me. Actually, I was surprised there were so many who sent me flowers and texts. It’s a big deal to me.]

The most telling answer came when Bea was asked about Gerald allegedly informing Dennis Padilla that he and Bea were already broken up. To this, she replied candidly: “He said that? Honestly, to my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me.”
