Bare Skin Waxing Studio’s Warm Wax: I’m A Convert!
I’ve been cost-cutting on my expenses recently and that included a huge part of my beauty regimen. I virtually gave up my mani/pedis, foot spas and even facials for homemade and DIY alternatives. My greatest regret, however, was letting go of my bi-monthly wax. I ended up buying a cheap razor to get rid of my unwanted body hair. BIG MISTAKE. In a span of just 24 hours, my hair was practically sprouting.

At the basement of Cinderella in Glorietta 3 lies a new cozy little nook that caters to anyone who needs a defuzz. Bare Skin Waxing Studio specializes in stripping away all that unwanted hair.
Although they offer cold wax or sugaring at a very affordable price, Bare Skin Waxing Studio truly specializes in warm wax, which is apparently more gentle and less painful on the skin. My waxer explained that warm wax opens up the pores and allows hair to come with the wax more readily.
Just shy of two months, the Cinderella branch at Glorietta 3 is the newest addition to their growing family of beauty and wellness, with one branch in Mall of Asia and another in SM Mega Mall.
Relatively smaller than their branches in MOA and Mega Mall, this corner of the Cinderella basement is particularly adorable. Check out their creative waiting area good for two!
Bare Skin Waxing Studio has two service rooms that are cleaned everyday and after every client. Beside the bed is the waxer’s beauty arsenal: warm wax, popsicle sticks, wipes, alcohol, tweezers, swabs, gloves, everything.
They are crazy hygenic and treat waxing almost like food preparation – disposing everything after use and no double dipping into the wax – and that’s how it really should be. I remember wax horror stories where one or two pieces of cotton were recycled for the whole session. Here, right after that cotton ball swipes your skin, it goes in the trash bin. Even their towels and linens are freshly replaced after each use.
These are the machines that keep the wax at a constant temperature, comfortably warm on your skin. The one that looks like a skinny R2D2 is meant for arm and leg waxing.
The wax surprisingly smells pleasant. In fact, during my session, I kept getting a whiff of mild strawberry, which was a relief on my part. It’s nerve-wrecking enough to get have your delicate areas waxed, but lace that experience with the smell of chemicals, and you’d probably be stressed stiff!
I also found out that their warm wax is imported from Europe because the owner believes in offering nothing but the best for your skin. Their waxers are also very courteous and meticulous with hygiene. They truly do their best to keep pain levels at a minimum. Best of all: they are all very knowledgeable, and answered every one of my questions (no matter how obvious) like a pro.
Here’s something I learned after getting my wax at Bare Skin Waxing Studio. The place is filled with these little nicks that really exude a positive vibe. They aren’t exclusive to girls, either. They wax guys, too! In fact, the client next to my room was a guy getting his eyebrows done.
It’s also very affordable! With pain at a minimum, constant sanitation, happy waxers and my new bare skin, I’m definitely going to back. I realized that if I had to have one beauty regimen, it should be waxing, especially if you’re a beach lover. I’m also a convert! I used to get cold waxes and thought that bleeding pores afterwards were normal. Well, apparently not. I’m fuzz-free and not one pore let out a drop of blood. Two thumbs up!
