As a toast to four years of the world’s finest rare liquors and Poblacion’s one-of-a-kind nightlife and cocktail experiences, The Spirits Library invites the curious and aficionados alike to a series of curated events filled with live music, performances, and liquid creations from the classic to the unheard of.
Known for its floor-to-ceiling selection of rare liquors and its eclectic vintage interiors that exude its name, The Spirits Library has also played host to live music nights, cocktail masterclasses, and expert bartenders from all over the world over the past four years.

On Saturday, August 26, The Spirits Library opens its doors and welcomes guests to get a taste of exactly what a night in their realm has to offer. For the occasion entitled Crazy Rich Libations, patrons will be treated to an after-hours celebration inspired by East Asian lounges of decades past. With jazz music by Tin Virtucio and captivating performances by Burlesque PH, the evening can only be complete with the bar’s expertly crafted and bespoke cocktails.
SingaPob Guest Shifts at The Spirits Library
Leading up to the anniversary, The Spirits Library will also be hosting two of Singapore’s top bars, in partnership with The Singapore Tourism Board and its SingaPob initiative. Guests will be treated not only to a selection of the visiting bars’ best libations, but also a special cocktail made in collaboration with The Spirits Library.
First up on August 17-19 are Martin Villareal and Karina Coleen Lugtu from Republic Singapore, ranked #16 Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 and #90 World’s 50 Best Bars 2022. Both originally hailing from the Philippines, the two have made a name for themselves in the Lion City’s bar scene, and will bring with them a special drink fusing two vibrant cities and Republic’s own approach to nightlife.

Martin and Karina will be unveiling Discotheque, a whiskey-based drink blended with coffee, pandan syrup, and topped with Kaya foam. An homage to the spirit of freedom and expression of the 1960s, the cocktail represents the unique flavors of each country, fused with a common favorite of the two, coffee.
During the anniversary weekend from August 24-26, The Spirits Library will be sharing the reins with Sago House, which was founded during the 2020 lockdown and is now ranked #10 Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 and #51 World’s Best 50 Bars 2022. Led by their head bartender Naz Zurmi, aka Lil Naz, a veteran with over a decade’s experience in his pocket, they will be serving up cocktails inspired by fresh hip-hop tunes and ingredients.
Just for The Spirits Library patrons, Lil Naz will be debuting his creation inspired by the Filipino staple adobo, called No Chickity. A play on the title of the 90s classic No Diggity, the whiskey-based drink infuses the flavors of chicken stock, soy syrup, green apple, and is topped with burnt rice bubbles.

Crazy Rich Libations, The Spirits Library’s Fourth Anniversary Event, will be on Saturday, August 26. The Spirits Library Guest Shifts will take place on August 17-19, 2023 for Republic Singapore, and August 24-26, 2023 for Sago House.
