Awra Briguela penned a heartfelt apology letter to address her involvement in the 2023 Poblacion brawl incident. On Instagram, she posted an “open letter” reflecting on her past mistakes.
“An open letter to the people I’ve disappointed, to the people who were involved, to the ones who believed in me, and especially to my family,” she wrote.

The former child star and comedian first apologized to her family for running away from her problems instead of having the courage to face them.
“Patawad kung mas pinili kong takbuhan at talikuran ang problema. Patawad kung wala akong tapang harapin ang mga issues natin [sa] isa’t isa. Patawad kung mas pinili kong tumakbo magpakasaya nang panandalian imbis na ayusin natin ang problema,” she expressed.
“Alam kong hindi naging madali sa inyo na makita at mapanood ako sa sitwasyong hindi maganda. Patawad kung nadismaya ko kayo sa maraming bagay. Patawad kung nagbago ako at nag-iba ang ugali ko.”
She vowed to change for the better and make amends for her past decisions. Awra also offered an apology to people who were involved in the infamous brawl incident, emphasizing her willingness to take accountability and carry the lessons she learned from it for the rest of her life.
“I know we’re in good terms already and settled things privately, but still I want to say sorry and thank you for allowing and giving me the chance to apologize and for accepting it.“
She thanked her supporters who believed in her and stressed that she would own up to her mistakes, “I know it will take a lot of time for you all to forgive me, but please do know that l’m taking my time as well to forgive myself.”
The 20-year-old concluded her letter by saying sorry to herself for allowing her emotions to consume her.
l’m sorry we lost our spark at some point [in] our life and l’m very very sorry I didn’t take care of ourselves,” she noted. “All of these are such a real nightmare and I don’t want to let the fear win again. This definitely served as a big big lesson for me.”

This came a few days after she opened up about the Poblacion brawl incident on Vice Ganda’s vlog, where she acknowledge her mistakes and said she’s getting better and stronger.
In June 2023, Awra was arrested for physical injuries, alarm and scandal, direct assault, and disobedience to a person in authority after getting involved in a brawl with several individuals at a bar in Poblacion, Makati.
