‘Ask Me a Question’ has only been on Instagram for the past 48 hours or so, but everyone – and I mean EVERYONE – on my Instagram stories has used it at least once since then (I’ll admit to having tried it out once myself, too).
Follow me on Instagram! :p @lilmisswonderwoman
However, what has happened since its inception is that literally everyone has posted nothing but those ‘Ask Me a Question’ stickers, and Instagram stories has completely lost its magic of showing the world what their friends are up to… or is that just me?
Some users have called the sticker vain, while others completely enjoy the slumbook-like feel of it – probably the same reason why ask.fm and curiouscat.me became so popular when they first came out, as well.
However, if we look past the default ‘Ask Me a Question’ question, there is actually a lot that you can do with this new Instagram sticker. You just need to get more creative. Instead of the default ‘Ask Me a Question’, why not crowdsource for new series to watch? Instead of talking about yourself, why not get to know your followers better instead? Who knows? You might rekindle an old friendship or discover brand new ones along the way. ๐
