During the project announcement on Friday, Carlo Aquino and Joshua Garcia expressed their excitement about working with Anne Curtis. “Very honored sobra,” Joshua Garcia said. “Of course, pagkatapos ng napakatagal na panahon babalik siya (Anne Curtis) ng series, tapos isa ako sa mga makakasama niya. Isang karangalan.” Anne Curtis’ last TV series was the 2014 Philippine fantasy drama “Dyesebel,” where she starred alongside Gerald Anderson and Sam Milby.

Meanwhile, Carlo Aquino recalled the last time he collaborated with Anne Curtis. “Excited kasi the last time we worked together parang ‘Baler’ pa ‘yun and sobrang tagal na nu’n,” he told the press, “So I am excited.”

For those who missed it, IOTNBO follows the story of Moon Gang-Tae (played by Kim Soo Hyun), who is employed in a psychiatric ward; his brother Moon Sang-Tae (played by Oh Jung-se); and Ko Moon-Young (played by Seo Yea-Ji), who is a popular children’s book author.

In the Philippine adaptation of IOTNBO, Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino will play the roles of Mathew Gonzales and Patrick Gonzales, while Anne Curtis will play the role of Emilia Hernandez.

“I love her journey of growth, and I talked about it with Ms. Mae (Cruz-Alviar) earlier,” Anne Curtis said. “You see it from the very beginning of the episode until the last. You see it in how she dresses and how she changes her hair, how she speaks, how she controls her emotions how she goes thru the process, pati ‘yung mga outburst niya sabi ko ‘I can see myself’, so I think it was a light bomb moment and she can be relatable to so many. And maybe I recognize and I acknowledge that with myself also.”
