As the topic of infidelity came up in an interview with Julius Babao for his YouTube vlog, young actress AJ Raval was asked the question of what she would do if she ever caught her boyfriend, Aljur Abrenica, cheating on her.
“Paano kung si Aljur ganun din gawin, [katulad] sa ginawa ng tatay mo?” Julius asked her directly during a discussion with AJ’s family about patriarch Jeric Raval’s history of cheating on his wife with multiple partners.

“Siguro kung dumating sa point na ganun, siguro sisisihin ko ‘yung sarili ko. Syempre kung naging maayos ba akong partner, naging nagger [ba ako], nasuportahan ko ba siya nung time na down siya?” AJ said. “Pero ngayon confident ako na hindi niya gagawin sakin ‘yun kasi maganda ‘yung dynamic namin ngayon eh. And of course, galing na siya sa pagkakamali. Sinasabi niya na natuto na siya.”
Jeric also shared the same sentiment as AJ about Aljur.
“Kaya ko naman nagustuhan yung tao na yun dahil… ako kasi ang tinitignan ko sa lalaki para sa anak ko, yung pagiging responsable. Kasi maraming lalake ang naging babaero na inabandona na ‘yung pamilya. Meron naman akong mga kakilala na babaero rin, pero good, mabait,” he said.
Aljur previously admitted that his marriage with Kylie Padilla, with whom he shares two sons, failed due to his infidelity. The two confirmed their separation in July 2021. In the same year, dating rumors between Aljur and AJ began.
AJ was heavily criticized during that period as netizens blamed her for Aljur and Kylie’s breakup, but Kylie assured her fans that AJ was not the third party in their relationship and that Aljur was free to date other people.
Aljur and AJ then confirmed they were in a relationship on February 14, 2023.
