In case you’ve missed it, there is a popular Facebook event page that’s been going viral on the internet. And it’s called the “Suntukan sa Ace Hardware.”

To clarify things about this viral event though, Facebook account of Ace Hardware Philippines already released an official statement, seen below:

The Facebook post says:
“We appreciate the excitement created by the April 15 “Suntukan sa Ace Hardware” event that went viral on Facebook.
However, we do not encourage this type of digital publicity.
No such event was organized by Ace Hardware in SM City Lucena or any of our branches.
Thank you.”
As of writing, Facebook users who have RSVP’d “going” to the event has already grown to 66,000. It’s still unclear who started this, or why, but one thing’s for sure—the posts in the event page are pretty funny.
