Are you ready, kids (and kids-at-heart)? A new SpongeBob SquarePants movie is coming in 2020!
Paramount Pictures dropped the announcement on its Twitter account together with the official poster for the movie titled Sponge On the Run.

No other details have been revealed for Sponge On the Run, however, by the looks of the poster, it seems that the story will revolve around SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick Star embarking on a journey to find his pet snail Gary.
The movie is scheduled for release in May 2020. It will be directed by Tim Hill, a longtime writer for the beloved cartoon show, and scored by Hans Zimmer. Cindy Lauper and her co-writer Rob Hyman are also onboard to create original music.
