Where to Dine
Head out to Satwa to find shawarma stalls and see a huge populace of the Filipino community.
For authentic affordable Arabic cuisine, you may choose any alfresco restaurant nestled along the Dubai Creek.
If you want a variety of Arabic and Indian cuisines, book a 2-hour dhow cruise along Dubai Creek or Dubai Marina. The package includes welcome drinks aboard, tanoura dance, and a tranquil view of the lake.
Those who are traveling with kids may have in their list a trip to the Atlantis the Palm Aquaventure, one of the famous waterparks in Dubai’s man-made island but since we’re a party of 2 senior citizens and 3 young adults, we opted to dine instead. We wanted a variety of international cuisines so Kaleidoscope was our best bet. Only hotel and restaurant guests have access to the gigantic aquarium and the Royal Pool. Still worth a visit!
And the most over-the-top place to dine in Dubai is none other than the iconic symbol of Dubai and the rumored 7-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab! In fact, Burj Al Arab General Manager Heinrich Morio iterated there is no such thing as a 7-star hotel. Burj Al Arab is a 5-star hotel, the most luxurious of its kind because of its magnificent location, architecture, and gold interiors, not to mention Hermès toiletries!!!
Junsui is an Asian restaurant located at the ground floor of the Burj.
Reservation is a must to enter the parameters of the Burj.
