Renowned chef Margarita Forés has passed away.

Her son, Amado Forés, announced the heartbreaking news on February 11 through an Instagram post.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden passing of my Mom, Margarita A. Forés,” he wrote.
“Our family is mourning this unexpected loss, and we kindly ask for your prayers during this time. We will be able to share more in due time.”

Chef Margarita Forés is among the most celebrated Filipino culinary icons. In 2016, she was named Asia’s Best Female Chef. She is the force behind well-known restaurants such as Cibo, Lusso, and Grace Park.
