It’s confirmed: “Orphan 3” is officially in the works! Entertainment company Dark Castle Entertainment recently confirmed the news.
“Dark Castle is excited to announce another terrifying chapter in the ‘Orphan’ saga,” Norman Golightly, Co-CEO of Dark Castle Entertainment, said.
According to a report by Variety, Isabelle Fuhrman will reprise her role as Esther. “Orphan: First Kill’s” writer David Coggeshall and director William Brent Bell are also set to return for the third installment.
As of writing, further details, including the plot, cast, and release date, have yet to be revealed.
The first “Orphan” film was released in 2009, which grossed a combined $125 million worldwide to date. It follows the story of a married couple who, after losing their baby, adopt a nine-year-old girl with a dark and mysterious past.
Meanwhile, its sequel “Orphan: First Kill” premiered in 2022, which also became a hit.
