We officially have a release date for “Freaky Friday 2”!
Titled “Freakier Friday,” the sequel of the beloved movie starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis where an uptight mother and her rebellious teen daughter swapped bodies just released an official first look at the film plus the date when it’s set to premiere.
Disney’s official Instagram account shared a still, showing Anna (Lohan) and Tess (Lee Curtis) screaming at what looks to be a mirror in a hotel or apartment room. “TGIF,” the account wrote in the caption.

They also confirmed that the movie is releasing on August 8, 2025. Many of the original cast members will be reprising their roles in the sequel which will now be directed by “And Just Like That…’s” Nisha Ganatra.
“Freaky Friday” debuted in August 2003.
