Hey, Southie cat parents! We’ve got great news for you. The Cat Clinic, which is dubbed the first-ever cat-only clinic in the country, just opened a new branch in Alabang.

The Cat Clinic opened its first location in 2021 after the founders observed how the normal vet clinics aren’t conducive to healing for cats, especially when there are dogs constantly barking.
Their beloved cat Kiki, unfortunately, was distressed by this kind of environment when he was diagnosed with FIP. Sadly, Kiki also contracted the Parvo virus during his time at the clinic. He passed away in October 2020.
“Our distressing journey with Kiki and our other cats inspired us to establish The Cat Clinic. We envisioned a sanctuary specifically designed for cats, ensuring no other feline has to endure what our cats went through,” shares Sherry, one of The Cat Clinic’s co-founders.

Starting with its first location in Makati, The Cat Clinic has expanded and opened its second branch in Alabang in December 2022. Last September 30, they celebrated their grand opening!
Sherry shares with WhenInManila.com that they opened their Alabang location to better serve cat parents living further south of Metro Manila, especially since traveling long distances for a vet visit can be stressful for cats.
“Our goal is to open more branches throughout Manila and, with hope, across the Philippines, ensuring every cat has access to The Cat Clinic’s health services,” she adds.
As cat lovers, we definitely can’t wait to see more of The Cat Clinic all across the country!

With the official opening of The Cat Clinic’s second location, cat owners can expect even better care for their cats and revolutionary vet care in the country.
“When we first established The Cat Clinic in Makati, we weren’t fully aware of all the nuances involved in running a specialized cat hospital,” says Sherry. “However, by the time we inaugurated our Alabang branch, we were well-versed with the standards, especially those set by the International Society of Feline Medicine. This organization offers guidelines on cat care, and we’re honored to be the only clinic in the Philippines awarded their gold standard for both our branches. The Alabang branch is not only more spacious but also thoughtfully designed for both cats and their owners. Moreover, it’s equipped with all the essential tools for comprehensive feline healthcare.”

We applaud The Cat Clinic’s revolutionary step towards better veterinary care for cats in the country. With most vets (and even pet-friendly spaces) catered more towards dogs, we’re glad that The Cat Clinic has given more focus to our feline friends and is now providing the love and care they deserve.
