Can’t focus because of ‘Mekus Mekus’? Mr. Nobodydudy has a message for you!

Navjot Singh, popularly known as Mr. Nobodydudy, recently became viral for his series of extreme reactions to Indian food preparation videos. Some of his catchphrases are “Sobra Na ‘Yan,” “Tornado,” and “Mekus Mekus.” Gaining widespread attention on social media, the Indian vlogger’s distinctive voice has given birth to a meme.
However, it has come to his attention that his followers are now having a hard time focusing on their daily responsibilities due to their fondness for his videos. This prompted him to release a statement.
“Hindi na ba kayo makafocus sa daily na gawain niyo dahil sa Mekus Mekus ko? Hindi na ba kayo makafocus sa mga board exam niyo? Hindi na ba kayo makafocus sa pagreview sa mga quiz at paggawa ng homework ninyo? Wala ka na [bang] gana makinig sa teacher mo kasi puro Mekus Mekus na lang [ang] laman ng utak mong ‘yan? Well, my friend, okay lang ‘yan,” he began, before joking, “Hindi lang ikaw ang pinagdadaanan ‘yan, buong sambayanang Pilipino ‘yan. Nationwide. Mekus Mekus, Tornado, lahat! Sobra na ‘yan, ‘insan.”
Then, he segued to thanking his more than 3 million followers for their support and told them how he considers them now as family. And because of that, he expressed, “Gusto ko kayong magfocus sa [pag-aaral], gusto ko kayong magreview sa exams, gusto ko pumasok kayo araw-araw.”
“Huwag na kayong masyadong…puro na lang laman ng utak niyo [ay] Mekus Mekus,” he continued. “Baka mamaya ipatawag na tayo ng DepEd niyan, ‘Mr. Nobody, what are you doing? Anong ginagawa mong ‘yan, anong [pananalita] ‘yan? Wala nang ganang mag-aral [ang mga] bata niyan. Na-Mekus Mekus mo na ‘yan!'”
Although he also mentioned how they should just “Tornado na ‘yan” every day because “YOLO,” he implied that he was just kidding by laughing at his own joke. Before ending the video, he said with a straight face, “Sobra na ‘yan.”
As of writing, Mr. Nobodydudy’s video garnered 5 million+ views, 400K+ reactions, and 19K+ comments. Watch it below.
