American pop singer and songwriter Lauv opened up about his positive lifestyle change, revealing he’s been sober for five days. On Instagram, he proudly shared that he doesn’t want to drink much.

“Like I don’t even wanna drink much or do anything cause i’m feeling consistent and waking up in control and YEAH im just proud of myself and happy and wanted to tell you cause if you ever wanted to do something like that you could,” [sic] he wrote.
Although he didn’t further discuss his sobriety, the “I Like Me Better” singer urged his followers to commit to themselves and things that they know are best for them, whether it’s a relationship or a job.

“Doesn’t even have to be drinking or drugs just the idea that you can commit to yourself and what you know is best for you if what you’re doing isn’t working for you. That could be a relationship. A job. Whatever. Doesn’t matter it’s all about you and doing the thing you’d tell yourself to do if you were your best friend.” he concluded.

In an interview with People in 2019, the 28-year-old revealed he was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression. He is set to kick off his The Between Albums tour in August 2023 and perform in Manila in September 2023.
