Cue the tears!
To those who are unfamiliar with the story,ย Gintama follows samurai Gintoki Sakata and his two friends, Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura, working odd jobs in order to pay his monthly rent. It’s weird, funny, and breaks the fourth wall often, and parodies many other popular anime in existence just for the heck of it.
The upcoming film is meant to be the finale of the series based on the manga’s climax. Gintama THE FINALย will be shown in Japanese theaters on January 8, 2021.
