Great news for everyone: Filipino was recently included in the world’s top 50 sexiest accents, ranking in at 21.
The distinction was given by Big 7 Travel, a website that creates travel guides. According to the platform, “Gentle and soft, the accents you’ll hear when in the Philippines are simply lovely.”
The Philippines beat other accents, including Dutch, Greek, Russian, Japanese, and more.
Ranking #1 on the list is Kiwi, the accent from New Zealand. Big 7 Travel said that “The ‘Newzild’ dialect is outrageously charming.”
Kiwi is joined by South African, Irish, Italian, Australian, Scottish, French, Spanish, South USA, and Brazilian Portuguese.
