The Wild Juan: Delicious Food and the Cool Tagaytay Breeze are Perfect for the Summer

WildJuan_WIM6

WildJuan_WIM15In this unnatural heat of around 48 degrees on average, most of us are checking out places to go to in order toย escape theย burn. One great place to go to is Tagaytay. My family and Iย have been looking forward toย leave the smouldering urban heat, soย we are immensely happy that we found this little gem of a country-style diner located at Tagaytay Ridge:ย The Wild Juan.

Tthe place feelsย like a modernised lola/grandma’s house, what with the old books, brick textures, and color scheme down to the placemats and table decor. You’re sure to get acquainted with the word “home” here.

They also have a beer garden, which opens at around 5 PM. Thisย is pretty cool sinceย you can enjoy a couple of their local handcrafted brews and delicious food al fresco.

Here’s a little video to show you guys our family’s adventures at The Wild Juan ๐Ÿ™‚

What made us go there in the first place, though, is the food, which presents traditional Pinoy comfort food tweaked withย a few Western flavors. Confused? Well, the point is that they serve aย Pinoy version of Buffalo wings – fused with caldereta!

And let me tell you something: Caldereta Wingsย totally work! I was quite in love with Buffalo wings before, but infusing a Pinoy flavourย them wings had me singing that caldereta wings are my soulmate. Instead of bleu cheese, they also went for cheddar dip, which complements the caldereta taste. The spice-o-meter goes from not that spicy to mild, though if you really want to take the heat up a notch,ย you can still ask the chefs to adjust it according to your preference. ๐Ÿ™‚
