42 year old Luke Aikins has jumped 18,000 times in his life. But that wasn’t enough for him. Aikins recently made a jump that hailed him as the first person to jump 25,000 feet without a parachute.
He landed on a safety net, of course.
The daredevil, who is ironically a safety and training adviser for the US Parachute Association, has been training for this jump the past two years. He said it was his friend who originally gave him the idea.
“I’m almost levitating, it’s incredible,” is what Aikins said after his epic skydive. The jump was made on a 100 x 100 feet net in Simi Valley, Southern California.
