Unless you’ve been living under a rock, surely you’ve heard of Senyora Santibañez. Technically, she’s Mexican actress Chantal Andere’s classic kontrabida character in the 1994 hit telenovela Marimar, but in this decade in the Philippines, she’s known to be everybody’s favorite evil elitist haciendera on Twitter.
It’s parody account, of course. But her—or the person behind her’s—witty (although often times harsh) humor has won over people’s attention and social media follows. And this week, her latest prey was…MMDA. Yup, the MMDA. Senyora Santibañez gave a shoutout to the urban development body over Twitter regarding the haciendera’s many complaints about…Valentine’s.
MMDA’s social media handlers have always been quite the smarty-pants too, and so what happens when a bad-tempered heiress demands ridiculous things from a government body? An explosion of funny things. That’s what happens. Read on and see for yourself:

Can’t say we’re surprised Senyora doesn’t seem to be a fan of Valentine’s. The question is, who broke the haciendera’s heart? Did it happen over Valentine’s? And the mystery continues….
