“Why is the sky so blue today?” This question lingered around me throughout my stay in Puerto Galera, Mindoro. It is just a bus and boat ride away from Manila. After a long and nerve-wracking boat ride from Batangas port because of the inclement weather, we were greeted by these breathtaking sceneries. I was totally blown away and I’m not the type of person who simply gets overjoyed by nature!
It was an unplanned expedition. I must say: the best things in life come as a surprise. It made me appreciate simplicity and exquisiteness. How I wish it would stay like this forever, but that is beyond my reach. Change is the only thing constant in this world. The objects we touch and the places we visit progress the same time and way as we do. This is life’s secret.

The way the sky was painted crystal blue made its way inside my heart as I stared at it with hope and wonder. Will I ever behold this kind of magnificence again? Will I be in awe the second time around? Nope, memories do not happen the same manner twice with the same way of thinking and reaction. For now, consider the present as a gift because it totally is!
