8 Times Sharpay Evans from ‘High School Musical’ Was So Extra

Has anyone told you that this January 2018, it’s been 12 years since High School Musical was released? The most successful Disney Channel Original Movie was first seen in 2006, followed by High School Musical 2 in 2007, and High School Musical 3: Senior Year in 2008.

If you still got that Wildcat spirit, let me now take you to a trip down memory lane and remind you of the 8 times Sharpay Evans was so extra!

8. What I’ve Been Looking For

The first time Sharpay and Ryan did an upbeat version of a Troy and Gabriella song. The twins performed this as their audition piece for East High’s upcoming winter musical Twinkle Twone, composed by Kelsi.

7. Bop To The Top

The twins made it to callbacks and by the end of their performance, we first see Sharpay trying to outshine his brother.

6. Fabulous

That is her simple request – all things fabulous! Who doesn’t want their summer like Sharpay’s? It was a ‘summer like never before’ at their family’s country club, Lava Springs. Troy and his friends took summer jobs there too (including Gabriella).

5. Humuhumunukunukuapua’a

When your family owns a country club, why not perform in your own talent show? This was only seen in the extended version of HSM2. She also went extra by inviting Troy to perform with her by ‘kidnapping’ him and doing the routine with Ryan (who was butthurt, btw).

4. You Are The Music In Me

This supposed ballad was, once again, written by Kelsi for Troy and Gabriella’s performance at the talent show. Owing a promise to Sharpay, Troy rehearses her version of You Are The Music In Me.

3. I Want It All

In this song, Sharpay expresses that ‘a little bit’ is never enough and encourages her brother to dream bigger just like her.

2. Just Wanna Be With You

Yet again, this was supposed to be Troy and Gabriella. When Gabriella couldn’t make it and Troy decided that ‘he just wanna be with her’, Rocketman pops out of the stage and ‘saves the day’.

1. A Night To Remember

Our girl will always be irreplaceable, not even by her personal assistant (we don’t even remember her name).
