It’s rainy season yet again and, here in the Philippines, it means one thing: back-to-school season. Soon, we’ll be cramming ourselves into every bigshot coffee shop branch we can find, frantically writing papers, cramming projects, and getting together for study groups for the next dreaded exam. Most times, all we need is the perfect café to cozy up in, one that’s complete with wifi, charging sockets, and a good cup of joe to keep us sane during these trying times.

This quiet coffee spot is an urban third wave café tucked in an alleyway just around the corner from Regis Center. 5. Ella and the Blackbird
What once was Craft Coffee is now Ella and the Blackbird–it may have a different name, but it’s the same restaurant with the same charming aesthetic and incredible coffee. Their food menu is also nothing short of phenomenal; we recommend their truffle mushroom pasta and their beef salpicao.

3. Diligence Café
More than a café, Diligence Café is a study and co-working space that not only offers unlimited coffee and snacks, but also napping services. Tyler’s Café is famous for their delicious all-breakfast meals, some favorites being their Smoked Beef & Eggs and Ricotta Pancakes. 1. Common Folk
If there is anything better than the beautiful, minimalist interiors at Common Folk, it’s their coffee. They even offer an extra shot of P60 if you need a little more kick in your drink!
