Have you ever thought of adopting a dog? There are various organizations in the Philippines that shelter dogs who do not have a home and are in need of a new one. Which is why you definitely should consider adopting rather than buying your next best-FUR-riend! Nothing feels more rewarding than saving a life.
We’re here to show you shelters within or near Metro Manila!

Hound Haven is an organization that houses and rehabilitates retired working dogs. The K-9 residents of Hound Haven undergo behavioral training as well as physical training to prepare them for possible adoption. Meet the K-9 FUR-riends yourselves! Their address is 353 Pinaglagarian St., Pulong Yantok, Angat, Bulacan.

Although PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) is an international organization, they still organize rescue missions in Manila with the help of PETA Asia. All rescued animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. If you are willing to adopt, you can contact them at

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society or PAWS is a registered non-profit organization that is dedicated to the protection and promotion of humane treatment of all animals. They run an animal shelter called PARC (PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center) that is located at Aurora Blvd., Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. It currently houses 49 dogs and 227 cats that are all rescued. The adoption process at PARC takes around 2-4 weeks. Visit their website for more information about the adoption process. But don’t worry, if you really want to adopt, it will be like a walk in the parc! (Haha get it?)
