On May 10, 2025, the 5AM Gang Run Club will celebrate a major milestoneโits first anniversaryโwith a special event at the Philsports Track and Field Arena. What began as a small community of passionate runners has grown into a movement thatโs now making waves beyond the road.

To mark this occasion, the club is hosting the โRace for Change: 5AM 5,000M Challengeโ, featuring a five kilometer time trial exclusive to members and an exciting branch vs. branch friendly relay. But for the founders of 5AM Gang, this celebration goes far deeper than just a race.
โWhen we started this club, we wanted to build something bigger than ourselves,โ they said. โNow, one year later, weโre proud to see that vision come to lifeโand weโre using this milestone to give back.โ
This yearโs anniversary event is leveled up in a big wayโit is co-presented by Adidas and runnr, two powerhouse names in the running community who are stepping in to bring even more energy, excitement, and purpose to the celebration. With their support, the โRace for Changeโ is set to be an unforgettable experience that reflects the spirit of progress, unity, and empowerment that defines the 5AM Gang.
This event also serves as a charity run, in partnership with JCI Manila and the Tobyโs Youth Sports Foundation, aimed at raising funds to empower Filipino youth through sports.
Majority of the proceeds will be donated to โSports for Hope,โ an initiative by Tobyโs Youth Sports Foundation that provides rehabilitation and recovery support to at-risk youth through structured sports clinics. These programs promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and life skillsโall within a safe, encouraging environment where young people can find belonging, purpose, and hope.
โRace for Changeโ is not just about breaking personal records. Itโs about making a differenceโrunning with purpose and running for others.
