10 Beautiful Filipinianas Spotted at SONA 2023

One of the biggest events in the country is the SONA and every year, many are on the lookout for the amazing looks that the Philippine officials and attendees are wearing. This year is nothing short of fabulous as many of the attendees really stepped up their game and really made the SONA red carpet a big fashion event.

Heart Evangelista

Heart always brings on the fashion during these national events. For SONA day, Heart wore an Ivarluski Aseron off-white full banig terno jumpsuit that perfectly showed the amazing craftsmanship of the talented designer. She then changed into a Michael Leyva cutout column Filipiniana gown with embellished pearls and crystals for the SONA.

Senator Nancy Binay

Another Michael Leyva creation was worn by Senator Nancy Binay. It is the designer’s take on a modern Filipiniana with organza sheer details in front.

Angelica Alita Revilla

Angelica Alita Revilla, the wife of Congressman Jolo Revilla is also in attendance. She looked stunning in another Michael Leyva Filipiniana adorned with a flower and leaves detail the drapes in the front.

Milen Gonzales

Wife of Congressmman Sandro Gonzlaes also took our breath away with a custom Vania Romoff Filipiniana with ruffle details. She also paired the dress with a Neil Felipp bag that perfectly completed the look.

Congresswoman Len Alonte

Wearing a French lace white tasseled couture Filipiniana gown by Michael Leyva, Congresswoman Len Alonte looked stunning during the SONA. The intricate detail of her dress made her stand out from the sea of white Filipinianas during the affair.

Emmeline Aglipay Villar

Wearing a Filipiniana with a pop of color, Emmeline Aglipay Villar wore a Lesley Mobo ensemble paired with a red Valdes designs bag that matched the red floral design of the dress.

With a sleek and classic design, Marikina 2nd District Representative Hon. Stella Quimbo looked timeless in a JC Buendia design. The dress is awhite mid-calf length Philippine terno dress with cowl neckline.

Tourism Promotions Board (TBP) Chief Operating Officer Marga Nograles is no stranger to Filipinianas, we’ve seen her wearing beautiful ternos and weaves but this time, she caught our attention with her floral Filipiniana dress.

DILG Secretary Margarita Gutierrez

In a sea of white Filpiniana gowns during the SONA, DILG Undersecretary Atty. Margarita Gutierrez opted for a pink Mark Bumgarner sculptural terno. The detailing and beading in front really gave a beautiful dimension to the piece.

Tootsy Angara

The wife of Senator Sonny Angara was also present during the SONA wearing a unique Lesley Mobo piece. The Modern Tapis creation has floral print pastels with crimped Crêpe fabric. There is also pleat and fold detailing to create a tapis effect.
