Ultimate Frisbee Philippines

When In Manila, where ultimate frisbee is a fast-growing sport and community of discheads and enthusiasts, one of the most awaited and competitive tournaments of the year, the Malakas at Maganda 2012, began last April 15 in the Ayala Alabang Country Club.

With 26 all-men Malakas teams and 10 all-women Maganda teams, it’s sure to be an intense battle for the very coveted title of first place. Defending champions for the men’s division, Sexual Chocolate, are looking to keep their trophy against equally passionate teams such as Azkals, Monster, and newly-formed National Team itself, Team Pilipinas. Over to the women’s side, Discpachadoras have regrouped to preserve their championship against intimidating teams like Babes ni Bullet, Chicks with Discs, and a team I’m so lucky and honored to be a part of, the Sexual Chocolitas (an interesting mix of ladies from last year’s Devil Dogs and Flag).

When In Manila, don’t miss the intensity and excitement of Malakas at Maganda 2012, as the next set of games will be held on April 22 and 29, and the finals on May 12, in the Alabang Country Club. See you discheads there!
