This fan watches the Coldplay in Manila concert for Php 50!

Saan abot ang Php 50 mo? (How far can your fifty Pesos go?)

Mark Evans, a Coldplay fan, took it on to his Facebook account how he was able to enjoy a Coldplay concert with spending only Php 50. He posted photos of before and during the concert where he used his cellphone to snap clear and beautiful photos of the concert.

He captions his photo set:

Hanggang saan aabot ang ₱50 parking fee mo? = Coldplay concert lang naman!
(Rough translation: How far can your fifty Pesos parking fee go? Simple – a Coldplay concert!

Check out that semi-aerial view! The lighted Xylobands is what makes a Coldplay concert distinct from others – these are wrapped around a concert goer’s wrist and they illuminate when Coldplay rocks out. These lights can guide multitudes home!

Those colors are gorgeous and magnificent. Mark mentions that he used a digital camera to take the photos then enhanced these using photo editing apps on his phone.

WHEN IN MANILA has reached out to Mark on further details.

“Una kasi, fan talaga ako ng Coldplay.

Nag-try ako bumili ng ticket many times pero fail lahat. Nung una, yung sa advisory ng Globe, pero fail. Then pre sale sa SM, hindi pa din umabot. No choice talaga, kaya nag-try ako mag hanap ng spot sa area ng MOA. Two times ako nag try mag ikot sa area before the concert. Una nakita ko yung Prism plaza, then second choice ko yung MOA parking lot. Fail yung sa Prism plaza, then nag-try ulit ako sa parking lot and I was surprised – solid yung view. Around 7pm sa 5th floor, konti palang kami until sa nag start na bigla dumami tao. Hindi ko lang alam yung sa ibang floor kung madami din.”

Rough translation: “First of all, I am a fan of Coldplay. I tried buying a ticket many times but all attempts turned out to be a failure. I first tried the advisory of Globe, but failed. Then SM’s pre-sale, I didn’t make it either. I had no choice, so I tried to look for a spot within the area of MOA. I tried going around the area twice before the concert.

Initially, I saw [a spot] at Prism plaza, my second choice was the MOA parking lot. The [one in] Prism Plaza didn’t work out so well, so I tried again at the parking lot and I was surprised – the view was great. Around 7pm at the 5th floor, there were only just a few of us, until the crowd increased when the concert started. I’m not sure if the other floors had heavy crowds as well.”

Well, that was one solid experience for this Coldplay fan – it was definitely an adventure of a lifetime for his night in Coldplay’s Paradise!
