PNP Posts Video Salute to the Fallen 44
The Philippines is undergoing a tough time now. The killing of 44 members of the PNP-Special Action Force, after a clash with members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, has left a bitter taste in the country’s mouth, and blame has been passed around. Setting aside the politics and intrigues, the Fallen 44 did not deserve to die.
The Philippine National Police has released a video tribute to honor the lives of the Fallen 44 on its official Facebook account. Photos and footage from the arrival honors at the Villamor Airbase and necrological service at Camp Bagong Diwa were shown, ending with the names and photos of the comrades. Since its posting, the video has garnered 25,782 likes, 14,993 shares, and 2,279 comments.
