AsiaPOP Comic Con 2016 may be over, but I’m still reeling in all of its awesomeness. In case you didn’t know, C.B. Cebulski, Senior VP of Creative and Creator Development, Marvel, was there last weekend to scout for new comic artists for Marvel, and he has been raving about the Philippines on Twitter all weekend!
C.B. had been tweeting about Manila before he even got here:
One thing C.B. was particularly excited for? Jollibee! :p
And then the con happened and people submitted their work to him. At first, he mentioned that a lot of people submitted a ton of work this year – more than ever submitted at a con, in fact:
But then he even made it a point to point out that he wasn’t just impressed by how many people submitted work, but how great the work is in each portfolio:
Good job, guys!
He was really happy when he finally got some Jollibee in his system!
And then he reiterated how overwhelmed he was by the submissions:
Even when leaving, C.B. couldn’t help but rave about how friendly and passionate Filipinos are! <3
Awesome job, guys! It’s heartwarming to know how much Filipino talent exists in our country, don’t you think? 🙂
