When in Manila, it’s not every day that one gets to meet an international model, let alone an alum of Tyra Banks’ highly popular model search reality show, America’s Next Top Model.
Last Sunday, though, with a brilliant stroke of luck, I was given the highly-coveted once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have an exclusive one-on-one interview with elite international model, Allison Harvard for MEGA Fashion Crew! Allison is back once again in the Philippines to host the third season of Mega Fashion Fashion Crew: Reloaded, with One Mega Group Executive Creative Director, Suki Salvador.

We first saw Allison on cycle 12 of America’s Next Top Model. Tall, pretty, with a dash of personality—she looked every bit a model. But there was one thing that really made her stand out: her eyes. She looked quite ethereal, in fact, almost alien-like with eyes that could hypnotize you with one look, and a face that you won’t easily forget on Tyra Banks’ model search competition.

Her new hosting gig with Mega Fashion Crew marks the third time that she is in the country for fashion-related work. On her first visit to the Philippines, she modelled and ramped down the runway for the Bench Universe Fashion Show. On her second, she appeared on “I Am Meg: Own the World in Style” and shared some nuggets of modelling wisdom to the girls on the show.
When a spot opened up for a chance to meet and chat with Allison, I had to give my immediate resounding YES! Not knowing what to expect and who else I’d meet at the Mega Fashion Crew press junket, Francis and I arrived at One Mega Group’s storied studio. We were greeted and accommodated by Gerard Escay and Dan Mejia, who are both important individuals on Mega Fashion Crew and two of the nicest people we’ve ever met.

While waiting for my one-on-one exclusive interview with Allison Harvard, we ate some catered food available at the location and observed our surroundings and the people coming and going inside the studio. Stylists, models, hairstylists, photographers, set designers and more abound in this space and place of fierce.
Looking stylish, classy and confident, all of the participants and contestants of Mega Fashion Crew Reloaded already looked like seasoned personnel of the fashion industry.
