19 Cheese Dishes Every Cheese Lover Needs to Try in Manila

10. Vapor Hookah Lounge’s Nachos

Nachos usually always have cheese on them, but the nachos at Vapor Hookah Lounge have an insane amount of cheese on them! You know how you usually eat nachos and then you eventually run out of toppings and the poor nachos at the bottom end up getting left on the place because they no longer have any toppings on them? That doesn’t happen at Vapor. The monstrosity of cheese on these babies will never leave you wanting for more cheese. Vapor also happens to be the only hookah lounge in the South! Definitely well worth the visit!

9. Borough’s Grilled Cheese

Borough is known to provide New York City comfort food. If grilled cheese happens to be your comfort food of choice, then you will love the Grilled Cheese at Borough. The cheese in Borough’s Grilled Cheese is so intensely cheesy, it can be compared to a pizza. The photo itself really says it all.

8. Mateo’s Restaurant Cafe’s Baked Oysters

Most of the cuisine at Mateo’s Restaurant Cafe is Spanish-Filipino, but then they have these deliciously cheesy baked oysters that we absolutely cannot get enough of! If you’re a fan of oysters, you need to try the ones at Mateo’s. They’re great, whether you sprinkle a bit of lemon juice on them or not.

7. Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza’s Summer Salad with Burrata

Trying to be a little healthier, but your friends always want to have pizza? Invite them to enjoy some brick oven pizza at Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza and order a salad for yourself – a Summer Salad with Burrata, that is. This summer salad of Gino’s consists of burrata, greens, dalandan dressing, prosciutto, and parmigiano reggiano. It will change your view of salads completely.

6. Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina’s Silantro’s Quesadillas

Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina caters to people who want to enjoy good Mexican food with a Filipino twist without spending too much money. Yes, Silantro is insanely affordable. You can go there when you’re on a budget and you will always come out feeling full. If you love cheese, then Silantro’s Quesadilla’s are a must-try. These soft and warm tortillas oozing with cheese and all the good stuff taste like perfection when dipped in their salsa verde. Their burritos are really good, too!

5. Cyma Restaurants’ Saganaki

Cyma doesn’t just provide great food, but also aims to nurture the soul and the spirit. The cheesiest thing on their menu? Something that just screams ‘cheese’: the Saganaki. This dish may sound simple as it is only made with two ingredients and can be ready in less than 10 minutes, if it doesn’t have any seafood in it, but it is a true eye-opener. Basically, it’s fried cheese!!! The cheese lover in me is now drooling!!!

4. Dyce N Dyne’s Legendary Grilled Cheese Sandwich

While most people visit Dyce N Dyne to enjoy board games with their friends and family, their food – all named after board games, by the way – should definitely not be overlooked. Their Legendary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, in particular, is – as its name suggests – legendary. In case you’re wondering, the sandwich is named after the cooperative 2-5 player “Marvel Legendary” game where you get to choose your favorite Marvel Comics Superheroes to save the world against the masters of evil!

1. Spiral’s Cheese Room

Probably the most must-visit place for a cheese lover in Manila, though, is Sofitel’s Spiral buffet. Why? Because Spiral has an entire room just filled with cheese waiting for you to come take your pick and devour them. Without fail, every time I eat at Spiral, I hit the cheese room first. It smells and looks exactly what I imagine cheese heaven would look like. The best part is that you won’t get sick of the cheese because you’ll have a ton of other sumptuous international dishes at your beck and call once you leave the room – if you ever leave it, that is.
